I don’t know if it’s ever really been tried, recording/playback of video is not something anyone has put a focus n.
Only really h264 and h263 I believe.
You’d need to negotiate h264 on the channel. As it is you’re using VP9, and Asterisk does not do video transcoding.

Encoding is not the same as file recording and playback. It’s how the data is stored in a file and retrieved, which doesn’t involve any conversion. I don’t think anyone has discussed working on such a thing or thought about it really.
