When building a new release, is it possible to copy the output of “make menuselect” from a previous build directory? If so, what files need to be copied? That would save some time in the upgrade process.

The result of menuselect is stored in the “menuselect.makeopts” file. Copying that over should save some time, and if menuselect needs to be controlled in a scripted fashion it can also be done so[1].
