On a linux desktop, Google Contacts web application ties phone numbers with URL such as https://hangouts.google.com/?action=chat&pn=%2B123456789&hl=fr&authuser=0.

Have you ever tried to redirect or rewrite such URL and replace with something like https://myasteriskdialer.example.com/?tel=%2B123456789 ?
How successful ?
