Installing Asterisk On MAC Native
I need to install Asterisk on a MAC, native, no virtualization. Has anybody done this? Are there documents on the Internet?
I googled it and all web sites that claimed to help installing Asterisk on a MAC have disappeared. Is it possible at all?
Digium should actually have a MAC app in the Apple store with a PBX. It should be a paid app. I would buy it right away.

If you’re looking for installing on a MAC, best to start searching for MAC
OSX install

I don’t know how old this is, or if it directly applies to your task at hand, but it may be a start.
Also, if you’re just looking for a simple PBX for light usage, there may be other options out there for MAC OS as well.
Good hunting!

It pretty much just works the same way as Linux. you might need to use brew to install a few prerequisites but I’ve got it running on my MacBook Pro without any major problems.
It’s good for testing things but I wouldn’t use a MacBook as an office server or anything.
And to be fair most of the time I just use virtualization and spin up Debian in parallels.
Kind regards,
Matt
