Sample Docker Images For Asterisk Available

Report
Question

Hello all,

I created a set of Docker images running Asterisk and exposing AMI / ARI ports that i found to be quite useful for ARI / AMI development and regression.

As they are based on Docker with whaleware, adding new configuration files to roll your own dialplan / queues / voicemail etc is pretty easy. And you can run quite a lot on the same box to simulate clusters.

There is no SIP / RTP configured at the moment.

See https://github.com/l3nz/whaleware/blob/master/examples/asterisk-load-test/README.md

Maybe somebody else might find them useful. There is Asterisk 1.8, 11, 12 and 13. Thanks l.

Reporting Utility

Report
Question

When CDR reporting was raised a few days ago, it prompted me to add a section on how ADTransform could be used to address the problem raised about consolidating CDR information from various divisional PBXs and producing consolidated reports.

I wrote a short Use Case article. http://www.artifact-software.com/?page_id66

I also thought about the problem of getting the configuration files into a readable format such as phone lists that could be distributed and added a second Use Case. I am only maintaining our internal PBX so reporting configurations is not a big issue but I would imagine that for someone maintaining many clients or…

Caller ID not working in DAHDI 2.6.0

Report
Question

I have a TDM410 with one FXO and one FXS. I've been running dahdi 2.5.0.2
without any problems. A couple of weeks ago I upgraded to 2.6.0 and found
that caller ID was no long working for me. All calls came in with a blank
caller id. I reverted back to 2.5.0.2 and everything was happy again. I
tried upgrading to 2.6.0 again this morning and got the same results. I'm
compiling from source on an Ubuntu 10.04.4 box. I was very careful when I
merged my settings from my old 2.5.0.2 setup with…

10.0 CallerID question

Report
Question

Hi List, Another dumb conversion question (I hope). I installed 10.0
and copied my 1.4 configuration files over. With a few tweaks everything
works great except for 1 feature that I specifically went to 10.0 for. When
I do an attended transfer, I still get the receptionists caller ID on the
transferred phone instead of the incoming callerID. My assumption is that
there is some new users.conf or sip.conf flag I'm not setting to make this
functionality work? Thanks in Advance Danny Nicholas

Moving asterisk from one network to another.

Report
Question

Friends, Do we need to change any Asterisk configuration files (Or any file related
to Asterisk for that matter) when we put Asterisk box from one network to
another? It is assumed that DB is on the same box. Asterisk box has got Asterisk running in it with no issues. Probably, it should not complain. I tried to check for IP address in Asterisk files (using ‘find . | xargs
grep 192.168.X.XX –sl’), but it seems that Asterisk does not store specific
IP in file(s). Your thoughts on this if I m missing something. -AsteriskMan
