Extensions Fail To Register Themselves When All Trunks Are Unreachable.

Hi, my asterisk server has a strange behavior when all trunks are unreachable (for example due to internet connection), it doesn’t accept registrations from any internal extension, and, obviously, I can’t do any internal call.

On the log I see only lines like:

[2013-09-30 01:35:04] NOTICE[1827] chan_sip.c: Peer ‘xxx’ is now UNREACHABLE! Last qualify: 36

and then

[2013-09-30 01:35:07] NOTICE[1827] chan_sip.c: Peer ‘yyy’ is now Reachable. (36ms / 2000ms)

How can I troubleshot this issue?

Problem with AASTRA phone of NO SERVICE

Hi,

I have 2 phones AASTRA 57i with Asterisk 1.6.
When the internet
connection for some reason fall down the 2 phones go to “NO SERVICE”,
searching on internet i found that this is due to DNS service.
Has
someone solve this problem? or suggestions?

SIP Extensions and loss of Internet connection

Hi all!

A few days I have problems connecting to the Internet on my house and
since then my local SIP extensions are no longer registered against the
local Asterisk server.

I’m using Asterisk 1.4.24.1. I was researching on the Internet and I
found that it can be related to a bug of chan_sip, can it be? In this
case, is there a possible workaround?
